VPN Connection Instructions: City of Germantown

Follow these steps to establish a secure connection to the City network. For a visual demonstration, you can watch a step-by-step "how-to" video.

1. Open the Client Login

Navigate to the system tray in the bottom-right corner of your taskbar (near the clock). Click the up arrow icon to show hidden icons, then select the VPN client.

2. Enter the Server Address

The server address field will appear. If this is your first time connecting, the field may be blank. If you have connected before, it may already say "City of Germantown."

Regardless of what is currently displayed, please ensure the following address is entered:

Server Address: mx-vpn-gbcbqgbwck.dynamic-m.com

3. Connect and Authenticate

Click Connect. A prompt will appear asking for your credentials.

• Username: Enter your standard PC login.
• Password: Enter your standard PC password.

Note: If you encounter an error or cannot log in, try adding the domain prefix to your username.Format: germantown\username

4. Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo)

After clicking Login, open the Duo Mobile app on your phone. You will receive a push notification to approve the connection. Once you approve the request, the connection will be established, and you will have full access to the City network.
