Setting Up Cisco Secure Client VPN on iPad

Step 1: Download Cisco Secure Client from the App Store

  1. Open the App Store on your iPad.
  2. Tap the Search tab and type Cisco Secure Client (or Cisco AnyConnect) into the search bar.
  3. Locate Cisco Secure Client in the search results and tap Get (or Open if previously installed).

Step 2: Add the City VPN Connection Profile

  1. Open the Secure Client app from your iPad home screen.
  2. Tap Connections on the left menu pane,
  3. Tap Add VPN Connection... in the pop-up window.
  4. Enter the required connection parameters:
  • Description: City of Germantown
  • Server Address: mx-vpn-gbcbqgbwck.dynamic-m.com
  1. Tap Save in the upper-right corner of the window.

Step 3: Connect and Authenticate

  1. On the main Secure Client screen, toggle the AnyConnect VPN switch to ON.
  2. When the Authentication window pops up, enter your standard network credentials:
  • Username: Your standard network username
  • Password: Your standard network password
  1. Tap Connect.
  2. Approve the Duo Push: Open your Duo Mobile app or respond to the prompt on your mobile device to complete multi-factor authentication.
